Description
Sentinel Island is located off E shore of Favorite Channel, 0.6 mi. SW of Benjamin I. and 25 mi. NW of Juneau, Coast Mts.
History
Probably named by Commander R. W. Meade, U.S. Navy (USN), in 1869. The name was published in 1881 on Hydrographic Chart 883.
