Description
Yankee Cove is located on E shore of Favorite Channel, 1.2 mi. NE of North I. and 26 mi. NW of Juneau, Coast Mts.
History
Local name published by A. C. Spencer and C. W. Wright (1906, p. 132 and pl. 37), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). In 1906 a 2-mile plank road ran from the beach at the head of the cove to a mining stam mill.
