Hump on the W side of Mount Verstovia, 2 mi E of Sitka on the W coast of Baranof Island, Alex. Arch.
History
Local name reported in 1869 by G. Davidson, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). The name was applied in early years because it is said the Russians erected a cross here.
