Schulze Head is located between Schulze Cove and Fish Bay, on Baranof I., 24 mi. N of Sitka, Alex. Arch.
History
Named in 1884 by Commander J. B. Coghlan, U.S. Navy (USN), and published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1891 Coast Pilot (p. 181). Thie name was derived from Schulze Cove. Northwest Trading Co. of Portland, Oregon, who did business in this region (U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, 1883, p. 161).
