Haley Point is located on an island connected by a sandbar to S shore of Fish Bay, on Baranof I., 24 mi. NE of Sitka, Alex. Arch.
History
Named in 1896 by Lieutenant Commander E. K. Moore, U.S. Navy (USN); published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1901 Coast Pilot (p. 185). Name derived from Haley Anchorage of which the point marks the eastern boundary.
