Description
Haley Anchorage is located on S shore of Fish Bay, on NW coast of Baranof I., 24 mi. NW of Sitka, Alex. Arch. 0.8 mile wide.
History
Named in 1884 by Commander J. B. Coghlan, U.S. Navy (USN), for "a miner Nicholas Haley." The name was published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1891 Coast Pilot (p. 181).
