Description
Flows NW to the Kiruktagiak River 8 mi SSW of Castle Mountain, 35 mi. NW of Anaktuvuk Pass, Arctic Slope. 4 miles long.
History
So named in 1950 by W.W. Patton, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), because of the abundance of species of Aucella fossil clams, found in the outcrops on the creek.
