Monotis Creek is located flows NE to Kiruktagiak River, 13 mi. S of Castle Mtn. and 33 mi. WNW of Anaktuvuk Pass, Brooks Range
History
Named in 1944 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologists during the exploration of Naval Petroleum Reserve No. 4. for the fossil, Monotis subcircularis abundant on the creek.
