Description
The Notch is located narrow and V shaped, cut into a ridge on upper Kiruktagiak River, 11 mi. S of Castle Mtn. and 34 mi. NW of Anaktuvuk Pass, Arctic Slope.
History
Named by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologists, about 1950, as a good descriptive name for this unusual topographic feature.
