Description
Chert Creek is located flows NE to Ayiyak River at Horseshoe Mtn., 43 mi. NW of Anaktuvuk Pass, Arctic Slope. 5 miles long.
History
Named about 1950 by I. L. Tailleur, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), because of the abundance of Chert along the stream.
