Description
Petrof Glacier is located heads at 593100N1504900W in Kenai Mts., trends S to its terminus at lake, 1 mi. N of Nuka Passage and 32 mi. ESE of Seldovia, Chugach Mts.
History
Probably named for Ivan Petroff, who did extensive research in the area for the 10th U. S. Census of 1880. Reported by U. S. Grant and D. F. Higgins, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), (Martin and other, 1915, pl. 2).
