Yankee Creek is located flows NE to Innoko River, 8 mi. SE of Ophir and 25 mi. NW of McGrath, Kilbuck-Kuskokwim Mts.

Prospectors' name obtained in 1908 by Maddren (1910, pl. 1), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
