Taigud Islands is located at mouth of Redoubt Bay, 10 mi. S of Sitka, on W coast of Baranof I., Alex. Arch.
History
Named "Ostrov Taygud" or "Taygud Island" in 1809 by the Russian navigator Ivan Vasiliev the first; published by Lieutenant Sarichev (1826, map 19), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN).
