History
Named in 1833 by the Russian navigator En. Vasiliev for Lieutenant Nikolai Sinitzin, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), who accompanied Hagemeister in 1828-30 on the Krotkoi on his third voyage to the Russian American colonies.
