Split Glacier is located trends S from unnamed ice field in Kenai Mts. to an unnamed stream 3 mi. N of North Arm Nuka Bay, 38 mi. E of Homer, Chugach Mts.
History
Descriptive name given by Grant and Higgins (1913, pl. 2), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and so named "because a huge rock splits or divides this glacier."
