Kachemak Glacier is located trends's SW from ice field in Kenai Mts. to its terminus, 32 mi. ENE of Homer, Chugach Mts.

Named for Kachemak Bay and reported by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Martin and others, 1915, pl. 2).
