Description
Lincoln Island is located trending NW, in Lynn Canal just S of its junction with Favorite Channel, 24 mi. NW of Juneau, Alex Arch.
History
Named in 1868, by Commander R. W. Meade, U.S. Navy (USN), presumably for Abraham Lincoln, 1809-1865, 16th President of the United States; published by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in the 1883 Coast Pilot (p. 194).
