Description
Halibut Cove is located on N end of Shelter I. in Favorite Channel, 20 mi. NW of Juneau, Alex. Arch. 0.2 mile wide.
History
Local name published in 1962 by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Named for a marine food fish, a large flatfish Hippoglossus stenolepis.
