Description

In Glacier Bay National Monument in the Fairweather Range, alongside Brady Glacier, just N of South Deception Lake, 23.5 mi SE of Mount Crillon, and 53 mi. NW of Hoonah, St. Elias Mts.

History

Named by National Park Service (NPS) in 1961 because it is a "self-dumping" lake and for a period once each year it disappears.
