Description
Palma Bay is located in Glacier Bay National Monument, on Gulf of Alaska, between Icy Point and Boussole Bay, 60 mi. NW of Hoonah, St. Elias Mts.
History
Named "Baia de Palma" in 1792 by Captain Alessandro Malaspina (U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, 1883, p. 201). See Wagner (1937, p. 481).
