Description
Applegate Glacier is located on E side of Kenai Peninsula, trends NW to its terminus 1.5 mi. E of Kings Point, 23 mi. S of Whittier, Chugach Mts. 1 mile long.
History
Named in 1908 by U. S. Grant, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), for Samuel Applegate who explored the region in the schooner Nellie Juan.
