Description
Cape Puget is located on SE coast of Kenai Peninsula, at junction of Port Bainbridge and Puget Bay, 38 mi. SE of Seward, Chugach Mts.
History
Named about June 1, 1794, by Lieutenant Joseph Whidbey, Royal Navy (RN), for Lieutenant Peter Puget, Royal Navy (RN), also of Captain George Vancouver's party (Vancouver, 1798, v. 3, p. 176).
