History
Named in House Resolution 2443 (Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Act of 2004) in honor of Able Bodied Seaman Eric Steiner Koss (1972-2002), who served aboard the NOAA vessel "Rainier" and died in the performance of a nautical mission.
