Port Bainbridge is located off E coast of Kenai Peninsula, trends S to Gulf of Alaska, 26 mi. SW of Chenega Mts. 20 miles long.
History
Named by Captain Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), "after an examination by Joseph about June 1, 1794, very likely in honor of John Bainbridge, an astronomer of the seventeenth century" (Wagner, 1937, p. 374).
