Located just south of the Painted Hills, 366 m (1200 ft) west of the Painted Hills Overlook; in John Day Fossil Beds National Monument/Painted Hills Unit.
History
Descriptive name for an outcrop of white, yellow, orange, and red claystones, which represent paleosols of the Oligocene age.
