Description
Grand Wash River is located braided stream, flows S 7 mi. between Malaspina and Lucia Glaciers to Yakutat Bay, 4.5 mi. SW to mouth of Esker Stream and 21 mi. N of Yakutat; St. Elias Mts.
History
local descriptive name reported by Baker (1906, p. 284), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), as a variant of Kwik River. Name is now applied to the lower and braided part of the Kwik River.
