Description
Canyon Glacier is located on W slope of Brabazon Range, trending W and S to its 1961 terminus, at head of Split Creek, 3 mi. E of Tanis Lake and 49 mi. SE of Yakutat, St. Elias Mts. 3 miles long.
History
Name reported by Blackwelder (1907, p. 428), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), "It derives its name from the fact that it is sunk deep in a canyon."
