Ancon Peak is located on W coast of Woronkofski I., Alex. Arch.;
History
Local name reported by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1916 "before local name was known". The name "Ancon" was applied to what is now called "Mount Woronkofski", two miles to the east, by Lieutenant Commander A. S. Snow, U.S. Navy (USN), in 1886. See Mount Woronkofski.
