Mount Woronkofski is located on central Woronkofski I., 6.5 mi. SW of Wrangell, Alex. Arch.
History
Named by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1916; it was called "Ancon Peak" by Lieutenant Commander A. S. Snow, U.S. Navy (USN), in 1886 for the steamship Ancon. See Woronkofski Island and Ancon Peak.
