Double Island is located in Krestof Sound, 13 mi. NW of Sitka, Alex. Arch.
History
Descriptive name given in 1908 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) and published in 1909 on Chart 8280. It was "so named because it is shaped like a figure '8'."
