Kasaan Island is located in Kasaan Bay, on E coast of Prince of Wales I., Alex. Arch.
History
Named Long I. in 1880 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS);U.S. Forest Service (USFS)changed the name in 1931 "in order to avoid confusion with another Island of that name off the southwestern coast of Prince of Wales Island."
