History
Haida Indian name published as "Z(aliv) Kazarn" or "Kazarn Bay" by Captain M. D. Tebenkov (1852, map 9), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), who applied it to Skowl Arm, at the southeast end of this bay. The name was published as "Kasa-an Bay" in 1883 Coast Pilot (p. 85).
