History
A village established in 1890's when a salmon-packing plant was located here. Kasaan relocated here; The post office was established in 1900 and was named for the old village. Population was 129 in 1910; 126 in 1920; 112 in 1930; 85 in 1939; and 47 in 1950. (AK-T1)
