History
Spanish name "Los Hermanos," meaning "The Brothers," given in 1775 by Don Juan de la Bodega y Quadra and Francisco Antonio Maurelle. Baker (1906, p. 148) published the translation, "Brothers (the)"; changed back to "Hermanos" in 1908 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) to avoid duplication.
