History
Tlingit Indian name meaning "sea otter" given in 1924 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS); taken from Siketi Point. Baker (1906, p. 558) published the name "Sea Otter Harbor" for this feature. "This place may be the one so named by J. Meares, 1788. The identity is doubtful."
