Description
Desolation Creek is located flows NW 14 mi. to Siksikpuk River, SW of Gunsight Mtn., 40 mi. N of Anaktuvuk Pass; Arctic Slope.
History
so named about 1950 by W. W. Patton, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), "because it drains part of a desolate lowland between the Siksikpuk and Anatuvuk Rivers."
