Description
Nanuk Lake is located between Nechelik and Sakoonang Channels, in Colville River Delta, Arctic Plain.
History
Eskimo name reported in 1951 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) as "Nanuk Narivanga" meaning "polar bear lake," because "the bear frequent this area to catch fish on the (channel) bars."
