Tamayayak Channel is located distributary of Colville River, flows NW to Harrison Bay, Arctic Plain.
History
Eskimo name reported in 1951 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) probably from tamaqtoq, meaning "it is lost."
