Description
2 mi. NW of Napaktualuit Lake, in headwaters of Anaktuvuk River, 4 mi. N of Anaktuvuk Pass, Brooks Range. 0.6 mile long.
History
So named in 1901, by W. J. Peters, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), because "the outfit was packed over by the men and horse to a small lake * * *" (Schrader, 1904, p. 22).
