Description
Reindeer Island is located westernmost of Midway Is., on Beaufort Sea coast, 18.5 mi. E of Beechey Point, Arctic Plain.
History
So named in 1910 by Leffingwell (1919, p. 98), "after the whale ship Reindeer, which was wrecked in the vicinigy."
