Heads in the SW part of the Clearwater Mountains and flows S to the Susitna River, 3 mi upstream from Raft Creek, 80 mi. SE of Healy, Alaska Range
History
Named in 1954 be U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The name is descriptive because the lower course of the stream disappears in alluvial fan gravels except during periods of heavy runoff.
