31 mi. E of Deadman Lake and 80 mi. SE of Healy, Alaska Range. 0.7 mile long.
History
Named in 1954 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) because "a member of a survey party was hospitalized as a result of cutting his knee with a hatchet while setting up a camp beside the lake."
