Description
Viesoki Island is located in mouth of Middle Bay, 6 mi. S of Kodiak, Kodiak I.
History
Transliteration by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1910 of the name "Os(trov) Vysokoy," meaning "High Island"; published by Sarichev (1826, map 16), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN).
