History
"M(ys) Melnichnoy," which leterally means "mill cape," was published by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 23). Makhnashkina," or "Makhnashkina Cape," in 1839 or 1840 by Sub-Lt. Mikhail Murashev and published in 1849 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1425.
