Dirovati Point is located on SE coast of Whale I., N of Kodiak I.
History
Transliteration of "M(ys) Dyrovatyy," meaning "full of holes point," name given in 1839 or 1840 by Murashev and published in 1849 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1425. Baker (1906, p. 309) published the name "Holes Point." Because of duplication, the name was changed to its present form in 1938 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS).
