Fox Bay is located on N coast of Whale I., 2.3 mi. SE of Afognak, N of Kodiak I. 0.6 mile wide.

Local name reported in 1900 by Lieutenant Commander J. F. Moser, U.S. Navy (USN), commander of the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) steamer Albatross.
