Description
Brown Mountain is located in Kenai Mts., on Kenai Peninsula, on W shore of Nuka Passage, 30 mi. SE of Seldovia, Chugach Mts.
History
So named in 1911 by Grant (in Martin and others, 1915, pl.2), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), because of the color of the rock.
