Description
Front Point is located on E coast of Kenai Peninsula at SW entrance to Nuka Passage, 32 mi. SE of Seldovia, Chugach Mts.
History
Named by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1931, "because this point forms the front approach range with Point Gore for vessels coming out of Nuka Passage."
