Description
Chilligan River is located heads at glacier 10 mi. E of Snowcap Mtn., flows SE to Chakachamna Alke, 54 mi. NW of Tyonek, Alaska Range. 27 miles long.
History
Named for Chief Chilligan of Tyonek, "who built a cabin on this river about 1896"; reported in 1929 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
