Description
Merrill Pass is located at head of Merrill River, 10 mi. W of Kenibuna Lake and 73 mi. NW of Tyonek, in Alaska Range
History
Named in 1929 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), "for R. H. Merrill, pioneer aviator of Alaska, who discovered this pass, and who was killed in 1929 while flying near Anchorage."
